The world’s first hybrid laptop

The new laptop is dubbed the S121 and is an Atom based ultra-portable. The killer feature though, is clearly the capacity of its 512 GB SSD, which is significantly more than most mainstream SSD drives. Currently, laptops that have SSD options at the time of purchase, range from 60 GB to 128 GB--but 128 GB options are extremely expensive. However, avid users are able to find more affordable options online to upgrade their laptops after the fact.

Lenovo’s yummy ideapad u1 hybrid is being speculated to reach markets pretty soon. Yummz is gonna give you a hot spec list and our views on it.

It’s the first of its kind. A laptop with a removable LCD screen that magically transforms into a touchscreen slate. Combined together the device operates as an efficient 11.6-inch (1366 x 768), Windows 7 Home Premium system powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU processor (it’s rated to achieve up to 8 hours of battery life). The yummz part comes, when separated, the slate runs on a Qualcomm ARM Snapdragon processor that powers Lenovo’s customized Skylight interface (a version of Linux), which can be used in both portrait and landscape modes.
